snow day!!

What the heck dog? This is my side of the bed.
It is an official snow day here. It may end up making history actually. Everyone (including hubbie) will be home today. The only thing that would make it better would be if the internet went out – after I am done this morning though of course. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings if the cable went too. My family could use a day totally unplugged. The internet, TV, and cell phones make parenting harder than it needs to be. Or, maybe I am just weak.
I am going to do my part though. Enjoy this day. It is still dark out and the snow is really coming down. Good thing I bought hot cocoa at the store yesterday.

I saw your city on the news this morning. Y’all are getting a ton of snow! How fun that the entire familygets to spend the whole day together! Love those pictures!

no snow here, i am jealous. not cold enough yet.
if there is snow i want it like you are sayin enough to keep everyone in and trapped and unplugged.
i think brooklyn has the right idea.
i took all the data stuff of my phone, was looking at it too much, and put myself on internet schedule.

I think Brooklyn knows what needs to be done on a very snowy day…rest.
Unplugging is not hard – it just take effort on everyone. I have no cable, but internet keeps me connected – I don’t mind though. I don’t feel rush by it.

You aren’t weak. Somedays it seems that the lure of electronics is there just to make me look like a meanie. Sometimes I just don;t want to be the big bad meanie anymore. Brooklyn is one smart dog.

Brooklyn knows exactly what to do on a snow day. Good for her.
For awhile we were in the habit of unplugging on Sundays. We really like it. We’ve got a bit off track now that winter is here and we are spending more time indoors. But I really shouldn’t use that as an excuse. Perhaps next Sunday we need to get that habit back.
